  • | On 24.09.2021, Officers of Goa Air Customs, seized 12 Gold bars weighing 1399.2 gms from a pax coming from Sharjah by Flight No.G9492. The Gold was concealed in torch, further investigation is under progress.
  • | Customs rescued a fishing boat named Milad with 15 crew on board which was drifting off Goa coast, with the help of Indian Coast Guard by towing the boat ashore.
  • | On 08.05.2021, Goa Air Customs seized 10 Gold bars & one gold chain, total weighing 1.175 kgs valued at Rs.49.89 lakhs from an Intl. pax arrived from Sharjah by Air Arabia Flight No.G9-492. The Gold was found in check-in baggage.

  • The Commissionerate of Customs, Goa, administers Customs Laws within geographical boundaries of the State of Goa.

 

  • The Central Board of Excise & Customs vide Notification No. 82/2017 Cus (NT) dated 24.08.2017, appointed the Commissioner of Customs, Goa as the designated officer under whose jurisdiction will lie the area consisting of entire state of Goa including all Minor Ports, Marmagoa Port, International Airports, Inland Container Depots in Goa.

 

  • The total area covered under the jurisdiction of this Commissionerate is 3,702 Kms.

 

  • Goa is situated 320 kms. to South of Bombay by sea and 584 kms. by road.

 

  • The North of Goa is bound by the jurisdiction of Assistant Commissioner (Customs) Ratnagiri under the Commissionerate of Central GST & Customs, Pune.

 

  • To the East is the jurisdiction of the Assistant Commissioner of Customs, Belgaum under the Commissionerate of Central GST & Customs, Mangalore.
