  • | On 24.09.2021, Officers of Goa Air Customs, seized 12 Gold bars weighing 1399.2 gms from a pax coming from Sharjah by Flight No.G9492. The Gold was concealed in torch, further investigation is under progress.
  • | Customs rescued a fishing boat named Milad with 15 crew on board which was drifting off Goa coast, with the help of Indian Coast Guard by towing the boat ashore.

  • The Customs Commissionerate has got a major Customs House at Mormugao where the Commissioner of Customs, Goa sits.

 

  • The major Customs House, Mormugao is notified for all goods in respect of Import & Export from or to Goa.

 

  • The Custom House is located at the Marmagoa Harbour in the Mormugao Taluka of Goa.

 

  • The Custom House is working as an independent Commissionerate since October 2014 with a full-time Commissioner, prior to which it was under the Central Excise Commissionerate with the Commissioner of Central Excise, Goa holding the additional charge. However, the Commissionerate of Customs got a full-time Commissioner only from May 2017.
